The CMU is organizing a boycott of its members and supporters to boycott So Many Roads, Sancho’s Broken Arrow, or any other bar affiliated with Jay Bianchi.

Jay Bianchi has run multiple venues in Colorado for the last few decades. In that time, there have been a volume of complaints about his business practices — refusing to honor contracts with performers, failing to pay his venue staff and bartenders, physically assaulting performers, and curating distinctly unsafe spaces, both in terms of health code violations (e.g., most recently, several of his venues getting shut down multiple times for failing to follow COVID-19 safety protocols in 2020), and enabling spaces which harbor toxic community behavior. Horrifiyingly, Jay and his affiliates have been been most recently accused of nonconsensually drugging and sexually-assaulting or raping victims at So Many Roads and other locations. Jay is currently under criminal investigation for these crimes, and we’ve assembled a legal team and scores of musicians to help organize this boycott. Please read the victims statement below and our actions.

This is just the latest scandal of hundreds. For decades Jay Bianchi has been a violent, dishonest, and abusive sexual predator. Venues that he is associated with are a playground for predators. Jay sold off his in-name ownership of his bars in 2020-2021 to Tyler Bishop, partly as a result of violating public health orders multiple times. He continues to direct the ship, using Bishop to limit his liability at So Many Roads and Sancho's Broken Arrow.

We ask you stand those who’ve been wronged by Jay, by signing your name HERE, to commit to boycotting So Many Roads, Sanchos Broken Arrow, or any bar affiliated with Jay Bianchi, starting today!

Our actions:

  • Boycott:  Exercise our right to petition, to free-speech, and to boycott, by organizing patrons and contract-employers to cancel any existing gigs, and discontinue working with or attending any bar affiliated with Jay Bianchi, today or in the future, including So Many Roads and Sancho’s Broken Arrow. Sign your commitment here.

  • Picket Protest:   June 12th, 2021 12p @ So Many Roads Brewing, 918 W 1st Ave, Denver, CO. Our members will protest the assaults against Bonnie, Kylie and other victims, the working and social conditions of Bianchi’s venues, and his personal liability to all of it. Demanding he stand trial for rape allegations, and he abstain involvement of any kind with any music/bar/restaurant business in Colorado and elsewhere starting today, permanently.

  • CMU-Venues: The CMU will continue allying with CO venues, willing to be both non-violent and pay a living wage, to help support any artists who relied on Bianchi’s venues for work. We just began signing our first contracts and will announce updates on CMU-venues agreeing to our needs.
